Velaiilla Pattadhari, released in 2014 was one of Dhanush’s best movies. The unemployed engineer avatar of Dhanush was loved by everyone. By the end of 2016, it was announced that there will be a VIP 2 coming up. This comedy-drama film is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth.

Yesterday, Dhanush announced the release date of VIP2 in Twitter. The movie will be released on 28 July, 2017. The specialty of the release date is that it will be the actor’s 34th birthday.

The movie was shot both in Tamil and Telugu, and will be featuring Bollywood beauty Kajol after nearly two decades since her last Tamil movie. Kajol will be seen along with a few of the original VIP cast members like Dhanush, Amala Paul, Samuthirakani and Saranya Ponnan. The music is scored by Sean Roldan and the movie has been produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films Banner and Kaipuli S. Thanu V Creations.
