Directed by Prabhu Ram C, the film will have Mahat play a man from North Madras who falls in love with a rich woman played by Aishwarya Dutta. In an interview with The Indian Express, the director said, “It’s a fun film on the lines of Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara and Vaalu. The contrast between their characters will be interesting. I wanted someone similar to GV Prakash and after watching Bigg Boss, I felt Mahat would be apt. I also found Aishwarya Dutta to be interesting as she was an influential presence in the show.”
On the reality show, these two had had several fights with each other. While Mahat got evicted, Aishwarya Dutta stayed till the finals earning more foes than fans. However, every contestant seemed to have patched up after the show including the two of them.
Mahat’s stint at Bigg Boss Tamil has been controversial. Known for his short temper and mind games, Mahat even had feelings for fellow contestant Yashika Anand despite having a girlfriend outside of the show. His confession towards her led to his girlfriend, Prachi Mishra, publicly break up with him. They patched up after he was evicted.
Mahat is best known for his supporting roles in the heist thriller film, ‘Mankatha’ (2011), and the action drama, ‘Jilla’ (2014). He has ‘Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven’ with his good friend Silambarasan, directed by Sundar C.
As for Aishwarya Dutta, the actress hails from West Bengal and made her debut as an actor in ‘Tamilukku Yen Ondrai Azhuthavum’.
