The movie starts with where it ended in the first half as Katappa narrates the flashback to the son of the great warrior Amarendra Baahubali. The Conclusion takes you to the beautifully and graphically designed sets of the Mahishmati kingdom. Every story has a villain and Rana Daggubati proves he gets wicked and as cruel as we expect him to be. However, Rana steals your heart with his power-packed performance and reminds you acting is in his genes.
When Amarendra Baahubali walks in with his strong muscles and charming looks, you can’t hear anything else apart from the whistles and screams in the theatres. Prabhas is undoubtedly the hero of the movie, however, the real genius is the Director Rajamouli. His actresses are not about songs and dances and that ‘submissive’ housewife character that many of the movies portrayed in the past. Tamannaah in part one and Anushka Shetty in part two prove that Rajamouli’s actresses are strong warriors.
Prabhas and Anushka’s chemistry is the best you’ll witness in recent times. The strengths of the movie are the actors and the brilliant CGI effects. Though they give a disclaimer that none of the animals were hurt during the making, you’ll cringe a little when you see them get hurt. There are war scenes which are sometimes illogical and impractical, however, we still loved them!
Keeravani’s music is magical and a special mention to the sound team. They did a great job with the background score and paid attention to the tiniest details.
Ramya Krishnan, Nassar and the rest of the cast gave some of the best performances on screen in the recent times. Watch this one and enjoy the art of cinematic excellence right from your home-grounds!
Verdict: It’s a must watch! Forget the star ratings and watch it for the cinematic excellence that Rajamouli shows you!
