The makers of Naachiyaar are so happy with the success of the film that they have decided to remake the movie in Telugu. The Telugu dubbing rights were bought by Kalpana Koneru for a whopping amount of Rs 90 lakh. Director Bala intervened to say instead of playing the dubbed version of the movie, a remake will do justice; and if reports are to be believed the role of Jyothika will be reprised by none other than Anushka Shetty herself!
According to the makers, talks are going but as Anushka Shetty’s call sheet is full the makers might not do a remake and indeed go ahead with the dubbed version as planned.
Directed by Bala the films stars Jyothika in the lead along with GV Prakash. Naachiyaar sees Jyo’s avatar as a vulgar language using cop with assertive and violence on her side yet a thirst for justice!
