Earlier, reports suggested that the Anushka Shetty and R.Madhavan starrer nishabdham will directly release on an OTT platform. However, the makers of the film have issued a clarification regarding the same. In a tweet, Kona Venkat clarified that the film will prioritise a theatrical release but will consider an online release if there are further delays due to the lockdown.  Anushka Shetty had earlier stated that she will support the makers of the film if they do decide to release the movie on a streaming platform.

Taking to Twitter, Kona Venkat wrote, “Lot of speculations r being made on the release of our film NISHABDHAM in the media. We would like to clarify that – Theatrical release is our top PRIORITY. If the situation isn’t favorable for a long time then our alternate would be to release on OTT platform. Hope for the best”. The film is Directed by Hemant Madhukar and has been a highly-anticipated horror thriller release which was postponed several times.
