Actress Amala Paul and director Vijay’s split was one of the most shocking ones of 2016. Rumors that Vijay’s parents were behind the separation was doing the rounds saying they wanted Amala to quit her acting career. But Vijay issued a statement later and put all the rumors to rest. He said, ‘The base for any marital relationship is honesty and trust, when that is breached the very existence of committed relationship becomes meaningless.’ After this very public split, the actress kind of went incognito for a while and maintained low profile and was absent for her film promotion activities.
