According to reports, Deepika and Ranveer will get married in Italy’s Lake Como. As for the reception, there might be two – one held in Mumbai and the other held in Bengaluru. Reports are also abuzz that designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee is likely to design the bride’s outfits.
The couple will also head for a brief honeymoon post their wedding but will resume work soon owing to Ranveer’s film ‘Simmba’ releasing this December. The guests will have the whos-who of Bollywood including Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer’s best friend Arjun Kapoor, to name a few.
The lovely couple met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela in 2013, with reports stating that they have been considering marriage for some time.
Deepika, who is the daughter of former badminton player Prakash Padukone, and Ranveer Singh’s family begun all the wedding prep months ago. While the two have never officially confirmed their relationship, they have never denied it either and have been known to shower attention on each other in public and on social media.
On the work front, Deepika, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, will be playing an acid attack survivor in ‘Raazi’ director Meghna Gulzar’s next. Her film with Irrfan Khan (to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj) has been put on hold till Irrfan returns after his treatment for Neuroendocrine Tumour.
As for Ranveer, he has Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simba’ in the pipeline in addition to starring in the Kapil Dev biopic as well ‘Gully Boy’.
Deepika will join her other contemporaries such as Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor as top actresses who pursue their careers even after getting married.
