  1. Pizza

Pizza was the first breakthrough for Vijay Sethupathi as a lead actor. The film was a horror-thriller and had the actor play a pizza delivery boy. With his impressive performance he makes it a point that there is not one dull moment. Whether it is nervousness, fear or anger, he gets all the emotions bang on.

  1. Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom

Considered to be one of the best films of 2012, Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom is a comedy film and Vijay Sethupathi proved that he can don the comedy hat too. He left the audience stunned with his comic timing and repetitive dialogues which weren’t annoying. He perfectly conveys the character’s peculiar condition with vacant stares and amusing pauses between his lines.

3.Soodhu Kavvum

The black comedy crime film marks the hat trick hit for Vijay Sethupathi. With every film that he has acted in, he has always managed to raise the bar to an entirely new level.  As a grey-haired, 40-year old with psychotic tendencies, speaking broken English, Sethupathi in Soodhu Kavvum is truly unbelievable. He left his audience wanting more and never failed to astonish them.

4.Vikram Vedha

Vikram Vedha,  inspired by the popular folklore of Vikram Betaal, its moralities riddles are applied to a police-gangster backdrop. Vijay Sethupathi playing a gangster with a lot of grey hair, which traditionally signifies one’s wisdom. Sethupathi impressed his fans with his tiny stories and his majestic performance and won a million hearts. This character is one of his best and has taken his career to the next level. Remember the iconic dialogue, “Oru Kadhai Solutumma?”

  1. 96

Released in 2018, the film was another romantic saga and Vijay Sethupathi took it to the next level with his acting prowess. 96 is the love story of a photographer and his childhood sweetheart. The subtle romantic emotions, the nostalgia on seeing his childhood love again, the thought of losing her all over again =was well played by him. This is one of Sethupathi’s best roles, we should say.
