Sridevi is the most memorable of Bharathiraja’s heroines. She acted in his debut movie and the cult classic, 16 Vayathinile along with Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth. She portrayed the role of a 16-year-old school girl, Mayil. The movie was about the strengths and weaknesses of the protagonist played by Sridevi. She stole the show and is still remembered for her performance.
2023 has been a year of blockbuster massy films, but the true winners this year are movies like these, narratives that leave an impact, and emotions so raw and real, that you are instantly connected.
At 2 hours and 45 minutes, the film did seem dragged in the second half, but at the same time, it’s packed with twists and turns and unexpected revelations.
