It is no doubt that Superstar’s upcoming film 2.0 is going to be the biggest blockbuster of this year. Directed by Shankar this is a sci-fi film and sequel to the 2010 release Endhiran wherein Rajinikanth played a scientist called Chitti Babu. Starring Amy Jackson in the female lead and Akshay Kumar said to play a negative role, the film is sparing nothing when it comes to budget and is probably one of the most expensive films ever made in India! Reports say that the movie is already breaking many records. In a new development, the Kerala distribution rights for 2.0 is being acquired for Rs.16.5 crores! That’s a whopping amount! It currently surpasses the record of the previous big budget blockbuster for which Kerala rights were bought for Rs.10 crores! Both being non-Malayalam films, this is the first time a movie has broken the record set by another movie even before the release, that too by a full Rs.6.5 crore! Now that’s new!
