10 Binge Worthy Movies and Series On OTT That Released In November!

Ever since the lockdown began, OTT platforms have become famous and have made it easier for binge-watchers to watch movies and shows from home. On the other hand, various platforms are also releasing  a variety of  movies and series on their respective platforms. Here are 10 movies and Series that were released on OTT in November!

  • Jai Bhim:

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Jai Bhim stars Suriya, Lijomol Jose, Manikkandan and Rajisha Vijayan in lead roles. This legal-drama movie revolves around A pregnant woman from a primitive tribal community, searching desperately for her husband, who is missing from police custody. A High Court advocate rises in support to find her husband and seek justice for them. It is based on a true case, set in 1995, fought by advocate Chandru. The movie is  currently subject to a lot of appreciation as well as controversies.

  • Most Eligible Bachelor:

Starring Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, Most Eligible Bachelor is a Telugu Rom-com directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. With Murali Sharma and Jayaprakash playing supporting characters, the movie revolves around a bachelor living in the U.S. who returns to India determined to find a wife and falls for a stand-up comedian who appears uninterested in being romantically pursued. The movie did fairly well and the lead actors received appreciation for their roles.

  • Drushyam 2:

Remake of the Malayalam hit Drishyam’s sequel, Drushyam 2 stars Venkatesh Dagubbati and Meena in lead roles. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the same director as of Drishyam (malayalam), the movie is a continuation of the investigation of murder that takes place in the first film. This Telugu version of the Malayalam original has received mixed reviews as Telugu audiences have liked the film, but others prefer the original Malayalam version starring Mohanlal.

  • Meenakshi Sundareshwarar:

Meenakshi Sundareswarar, starring Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dasani is a Hindi rom-com, set in Madurai. The movie directed by Vivek Soni, chooses to tell the romantic story from a South Indian point of view, but is entirely set in Hindi. The movie’s plot goes something like this; forced to live apart due to a unique job prospect, two newlyweds face the hassles, hiccups — and hilarity — that arise from their long-distance marriage. While, the movie was criticised for bringing the unnecessary Tamilian angle, the story of the movie worked on the whole.

  • Chhorii:

Starring Nushrath Barucha and Mita Vasisht, Chhorii is a Hindi horror thriller film, directed by Vishal Furia. Chhorii is the story of a modern young couple. Sakshi is 8 months pregnant with her first child when the couple, forced out of their home, escapes from the city and seeks refuge in a house located deep inside sugarcane fields. The house is inhabited by an old couple who seem to know more than they tell. The movie, which was released very recently, received good reviews for its take on horror.

  • Sridevi Soda Centre:

Directed by Karuna Kumar, Sridevi Soda Centre is a Telugu romantic drama action film starring Sudheer Babu and Anandhi in lead roles.  The story revolves around a man who falls in love with a woman who runs a soda center. The couple hold strong despite the pressures of the caste system. The movie’s story was critiqued to be powerful and many reviewers said that the ending was gut-wrenching.

  • Kanakam Kamini Kalaham:

Starring Nivin Pauly and Grace Antony in lead roles, Kanakam Kamini Kalaham directed by Ratheesh Poduval is a comedy-drama film in Malayalam. A simple way to convey the narrative; Pavithran (Nivin Pauly) who is a junior artist and acting school instructor is married to Haripriya (Grace Anthony) who is a former serial artist and their marriage has issues. Pavithran plans a trip with Haripriya to bring his marriage life back on track. However, a bunch of unrelated people threaten his marriage life. How he handles the situation forms the rest of the story. The story received mixed reviews as acting was appreciated but screenplay was criticised.

  • Oka Chinna Family Story:

Directed by Mahesh Uppala, Oka Chinna Family Story is a Web series starring Simran Sharma, Rajeev Kanakala in lead roles. The series revolves around a small middle class family and a big twist that awaits them. What’s the twist? How do they sail through it? A hilarious ride awaits.The Telugu series, is a comedy take on a middle class family and is a fun family entertainer.

  • Adbhutham:

Adbhutham is a Telugu sci-fi romance directed by Mallik Ram and starring Teja Sajja and Shivani Rajashekar in primary roles. The story goes somewhat like this; when Surya and Vennela are about to end their lives, a miracle connects these two strangers. They happen to have the same phone numbers, but can’t meet. The movie starts as a sci-fi and moves onto a romance. As a first of its kind in Telugu, the movie fared pretty well amongst OTT audiences.

  • Republic:

Deva Katta’s Republic starring Sai Dharam Tej and Aishwarya Rajesh and Ramya Krishnan is a Telugu political-drama. The plot follows Panja Abhiram (Tej), an IAS officer who tackles corruption in the political system and the administrative machinery. The film received very good reviews for its raw take on politics and both Tej and Aishwarya were appreciated for their acting.
