Kalimuthu a 19-year-old youth spectator was killed yesterday during the sport of Jallikattu at Palamedu. He was reported as standing in a restricted area where bulls are collected by owners after the race. Viewers are usually not allowed on the side. With severe injuries, he was taken to the first aid camp on the field. Since medical officers were unaware which of his organs were affected he was sent to Madurai hospital where he succumbed to his injuries from bleeding profusely.
