Veteran actress Zeenat Aman famous for her song, ‘Chura liya hain tumne jo dil ko’ has filed rape charges against a Mumbai-based businessman who has now been in arrested. The actor had filed the case at Juhu police station on Thursday night. The actress had said she had earlier dated the perpetrator but had broken up with him and this incident has happened without her consent.

“The accused has been arrested and produced in local court,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nisar Tamboli told PTI. “The matter has been handed over to the Crime Branch. The investigation is on.”

The actress had filed a case of stalking and criminal intimidation against the accused in January. The 38-year-old accused, whose name is Sarfaraz, was produced at a local court in Mumbai on Friday. It was also reported in some media outlets that the businessman had threatened the actress and had taken several amounts of money from her including some of her properties and threatened her against speaking up about him.
