Her husband, Ranveer Singh, shared the same picture of the menu on social media and said that he would certainly ‘eat that’. Deepika’s popularity grew strength to strength in 2018. Right from the release of her only film that year – Padmaavat – to her wedding to Ranveer Singh and the subsequent reception and parties from there on, it’s been an eventful year for her. She married her longtime boyfriend and fellow co-star Ranveer two private, intimate ceremonies in Italy’s Lake Como. She then hosted a few receptions in India, including one in Bengaluru and two in Mumbai. There were also numerous parties in honour of the couple.
For the New Year, the couple flew down to an undisclosed location to also celebrate their honeymoon. In the pipeline, Deepika has Chaapaak directed by Meghna Gulzar of Raazi fame. The film will have the actress play real-life acid victim survivor and activist Lakshmi Agarwal.
