According to Hindustan Times, the girl’s body was found only after neighbours complained of a stench emanating from the girl’s rented apartment. She hailed from Icchawar town in Sehore district.

It is believed that the girl was living in a house owned by a man who lives in Saudi Arabia. The woman’s husband has also gone missing, with the police on the lookout for him.

Incidentally, Bhopal has had several rape cases in the recent past. In October last year, a 19-year-old student was tied and gang raped for three hours. It happened when she was returning from a coaching centre in a rather busy part of the city.

Recently, four rape accused were paraded around Bhopal’s road and slapped by the public. The four had allegedly raped a 21-year-old girl.
