Rajinikanth has been in the news ever since the release of the teaser of Jailer. The teaser introduced the veteran actor in the role of Muthuvel Pandian, a jail warden. Now, the actor is again in the news, this time along with his daughter. Previously, the duo was in the news when Aishwarya announced her next directorial Laal Salaam starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles. Rajinikanth is all set to play a cameo in this film. Now, a video of the father-daughter duo offering prayers to Lord Venkateshwara at Tirupathi is making rounds all over social media.

The Darbar star was accompanied by his elder daughter Aishwaryaa during his visit. The father and daughter duo participated in suprabhata seva at the temple. A video of Thalaiva at the holy place has gone viral on social media. Watch the video below:

Laal Salaam:

The poster showcases a burning cricket helmet and a protest-torn ground, but the plot of the film has still not been revealed. The film’s music is to be composed by AR Rahman, while the cinematography is to be handled by Vishnu Rangasamy. While Art Direction is given to Ramu Thangaraj, editing is to be done by Pravin Baaskar and Poornima Ramasamy will be the costume designer. It is also important to note that this is the first time Aishwarya Rajinikanth is going to direct her own father in her film.

Jailer:

The shooting of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Jailer, along with Director Nelson Dilipkumar is currently going on at full speed. While the shoot initially began with the supporting cast, Rajinikanth eventually started his shooting schedule. Kannada star Shivarajkumar and Ramya Krishnan have confirmed are also starring in the film. While reports earlier suggested that Rajinikanth was to romance a young actor like Tamannah, the latest update is that the latter is only doing a cameo and will only be in the film for a short screen time. This has now started rumors that Tamannah is probably going to be portrayed as Rajini’s daughter in the film and that her portions will come in the flashback. This has however not yet been confirmed. Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley are also part of the ‘Jailer’ cast, while the film’s music will be scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Vijay Kartik Kannan is the cinematographer. The film will be shot extensively at Ramoji Filmcity in Hyderabad. Much like other Nelson films, this one too is expected to be a quirky action thriller, though in an altogether unique space.
