Not just a pretty face, Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has been using her social media platforms to urge her followers to feed stray animals on the road. An actress with a huge heart, she has been using her large social media presence to make an impact and improve the well-being of those struggling during the lockdown.

In yet another humanitarian act, the actress took it upon herself to distribute food to the migrant workers who left Chennai central station on the 9th of July to return to their hometowns. This has been going viral on social media and the video is winning hearts. “Yest one of the last few trains taking back our migrant workers back to West Bengal.. @saveshakti n our helpers gave 1600 migrant workers 3 chapatis, bottle of water n @snickers A Big thank you #chennaicorporation #chennaicitypolice #indianrailways @SBWHealth God bless you all,” wrote Varalaxmi on her Twitter handle.

Varalaxmi had earlier distributed food packets and water early last month to migrants. The actor uses her foundation ‘save Shakti foundation’ to promote and perform various charity work.

On the professional front, Varalaxmi is doing films like Sathya and Sakthi.
