Suriya is an extremely busy man, not only with his movies of which he has two lined up for 2020, including a Vetrimaaran directed film, but also with his successful AgaramFoundation, which is aimed to help farmers and children without access to education in Tamil Nadu.

The Agaram foundation recently launched two Tamil books, titled Vidhyasamdhaan Azhagu and Ulagam PirranthathuEnnakaga in an event in Chennai, which Suriya was present at.

The event included speeches from people associated with Agaram, including Gayathri, who is pursuing an education through the foundation. In the speech, Gayathri not only spoke about Agaram, but also shared the hardships she has faced throughout her life, which pulled the heartstrings of many. Suriya himself could not help but shed tears hearing her speech.

Of course, fans of the actors sympathised with him, and shared messages in support of the foundation throughout social media.

The Agaram foundation was set up 10 years ago by the actor and has successfully helped many farmers and underprivileged children throughout Tamil Nadu. Suriya made it a point to thank all the volunteers, institutes and sponsors who have helped him in ensuring Agaram is a success.
