Now, a video of her interview during Yashoda promotions has surfaced on the Internet. The Shaakuntalam actress is seen breaking down as she opens up about her struggle with her medical condition. She said, “some days are good and some days are bad,” but ‘you need to fight’. The star broke down while talking about the same but smiled saying, “you win in the end,” and that only reflects that she is a strong personality.

Recently, her Yashoda co-star Unni Mukundan also praised Samantha for being a thorough professional. Talking to a media house, Unni said Samantha is a very talented actress. “She is a very dedicated and hardworking actress. She has prepared a lot for her role, which includes action and emotional scenes. She interacts well with other artists on set. We discussed ideas to improvise a scene. In Malayalam, the working style is slightly different. We don’t rehearse much and perform directly in front of the camera so that the co-star’s reaction would be natural. I practised the same for this film as well.” When asked if he knew about her medical condition, he said, “No, she was very professional and never revealed that she was fighting such a disease. I’m sure she will recover soon and get back in good health.”

Samantha, after the release of Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, is awaiting the release of Shaakuntalam. The film, directed by Gunasekhar, is a Telugu mythological film based on Kalidasa’s Shaakuntalam. The film also stars Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla in titular roles. The latest update from the team is the release date of the film. The makers have revealed that the project will be out in cinema halls in November this year. Samantha has been on a signing spree in recent times. Even while she awaits the release of Yashodha and Shaakunthalam, she is working on many other projects and is also signing a few more. For example, the actor is all set to make her Hollywood debut with ‘Arrangements of Love’ in which she is likely to play a queer woman.
