Suriya Sivakumar is currently shooting for Selvaraghavan’s NGK and reports state that the actor will play a politician in the film! According to Sify News, Suriya was spotted shooting for the film dressed in crisp white clothes, something that is often symbolic to the clothes worn by South Indian politicians. The pictures have been doing the rounds too, leading to most speculating the same.

A few days ago, Selvaraghavan acknowledged speculations of his film being a political drama but chose not to give an answer. “Heard few rumours about the genre of the film. Family..,?? Political? Or a thriller…? As usual I leave it to your guessing, friends.. For us it’s TOTAL #NGKFIRE and #fierceshooting..” he wrote.

The film, which went on floors earlier this year, also stars actresses Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes music while SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu produce the project under their Dream Warriors Banner. The film is slated for a Diwali release this year.

On the work front, Suriya also has KV Anand’s film in the pipeline. Tentatively titled as Suriya 37, the film stars Malayalam actor Mohanlal, Telugu actor Allu Sirish, and Vanamagan actress Sayyeshha in the film. The film will start its shooting schedule in London on June 23.
