The movie revolves around the character Mathiazhagan alias Mathi (Vikram) who is an unidentifiable assassin with no records. He commits a series of high-profile international assassinations, indirectly for a businessman called Rishi (Roshan Mathew). How Interpol officer Aslan (Irfan Pathan) solves the case and finds the criminal forms the rest of the story. The movie also starred Irfan Pathan, Srinidhi Shetty, Mrinalini Ravi, Meenakshi Govindarajan, and Roshan Matthew. The performance was the most spoken about as all the actors aced their performance.
On the work front, Vikram is currently awaiting the release of Ponniyin Selvan, the magnum opus directed by Mani Ratnam. He is to play the role of Aditha Karikalan, the Chola Prince and the son of Sundara Chola. He is also the older brother of Kundavai and Arulmozhi Varman played by Trisha and Jayam Ravi respectively. He is also reportedly doing his 61st film along with Director Pa Ranjith. Meanwhile, his much-awaited project Dhruva Natchathiram with Director Gautam Vasudev Menon is said to be re-starting soon and the movie may release in December. In addition to this, Vikram has his next movie with director M Srinivasan that will reportedly star Pooja Hegde and Amyra Dastur as female leads. Srinidhi Shetty, who was last seen in KGF before Cobra, has not committed to any films so far. Mrinalini, on the other hand, is filming for a Telugu film titled Mama Mascheendra.
