Vijay Sethupathi is on a roll lately, starring in films that are releasing every week! Having already starred in five films this year namely Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, Junga, Imaikka Nodigal, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, and 96, the actor has still not stopped and the first look of his next film Super Deluxe is out to prove that the actor is raring to go and be one of Kollywood’s most versatile actors.

The first-look poster shows him in a saree with long, curly hair and make-up. It is reported that he’s playing a transgender person in this noir film and stars alongside other known actors including Samantha Akkineni, Ramya Krishnan, Fahadh Faasil, Gayathrie, Mysskin, and others. He plays Shilpa and is seen looking quite comfortable in character. He even shared the image saying that he’s quite happy with the film.

Samantha Akkineni will reportedly play a woman named Vaembu who has quite a dark past. Mysskin will be playing a priest while the other characters’ roles are known. The film’s music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is slated for a release this year. Director Thiyagarajan Kumararaja made his feature film debut with the critically acclaimed gangster film Aaranya Kaandam (2011), which earned him the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director at the 59th National Film Awards.
