Word is that Vijay might just play a football coach in this film, much like what Shah Rukh Khan played in Chak De! India. The shooting of the tentatively titled Thalapathy 63 is expected to commence sometime in March this year and may hit the theatres for Diwali 2019. The makers are now finalising the cast and crew of the movie. Back in December 2018, Atlee, cinematographer GK Vishnu and producer Archana Kalpathi were scouting for locations in Hollywood.
The film, likely to be a racy thriller, will begin shooting this month. Meanwhile, Yogi Babu and actor Vivek have been confirmed as being part of the cast.
Nayanthara, who has already starred in three films in 2018 alone namely ‘Jai Simha’, ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’, and ‘Imaikka Nodigal’, has several films in the pipeline. ‘Aira’, directed by KM Sarjun, best known for the short films ‘Lakshmi’ and ‘Maa’, is said to be a horror-thriller. She also has ‘Viswasam’ with Ajith releasing this month, ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ with Chiranjeevi, ‘Love Action Drama’ with Nivin Pauly, and ‘Kolaiyuthir Kalam’.
As for Vijay, this marks his third collaboration with Atlee. The duo previously worked together in Theri and Mersal.
