The actress will be joining the film’s sets in the second week of July. She will play the wife of NTR, Basavatharakam. Balakrishna, son of the late actor-turned-politician, will take on the lead role.
The movie, which initially had director Teja on board, will be directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. Balakrishna, Vishnu Induri finance the project that goes on the floors in July this year.

It is reported that Rana Daggubati might come on board to play Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandra Babu Naidu, who is also NTR’s son-in-law. The film will go on floors next month.
Vidya was last seen in Tumhari Sulu, directed by Suresh Triveni. The movie is getting a Tamil remake, titled Kaatrin Mozhi, starring Jyothika and directed by Radha Mohan.
