In yet another humanitarian act, the actress took it upon herself to distribute food to the migrant workers who left Chennai central station on the 5th of June to return to their hometowns.

The actor uses her foundation ‘save Shakti foundation’ to promote and perform various charity work.
In a video posted by the actress on her Instagram, she is seen distributing food to the various people going back to their hometowns. In the post made by her, she wrote, “given 30 minutes, 20 coaches, 80 in a coach, gave them literally 15 seconds to serve 8 loaves of bread per compartment to 1600 passengers travelling through Chennai in Sharmik trains, with my mom and 3 #saveshakti volunteers.. hats off.. #superheroes…” she further added, “ save Shakti was able to complete it within the given time… just simply amazing…!!!”
the actress extended her gratitude to the Chennai police department, Chennai corporation, Indian railways and the save Shakti volunteers.
The actors work was applauded by various people including actress Trisha who commented “superwoman”, Harish Kalyan, Kiki Vijay, Sonia Aggarwal and dance master Brinda.
The actress also encouraged people to report domestic violence cases that increased during the lockdown and pleaded people to gave a helping hand to the voiceless animals on the street.
