Vanitha is the eldest daughter of veteran actor Vijayakumar and the late actor Manjula. She married Anandaraj in the year 2007 and later divorced in 2012. The custody of their daughter was given to her ex-husband. On the same her ex-husband Anandaraj has filed a complaint to the Telangana police for kidnapping their daughter and keeping her in hiding in Chennai. A habeas corpus had been filed to locate Jovitha and a kidnapping case registered against Vanitha.
According to speculations cops have already landed at the doorstep of the Bigg Boss Tamil house to investigate on the case. They are still in talks and no decsion has been taken if the housemate will be evicted for the same. The EVP Film City where the sets of the show have been erected comes under this jurisdiction and the people of the area are of the opinion that Vanitha could be arrested any time now. The Big Boss contestant might need to quit the show due to her connection in the kidnapping case.
