Usha Uthup And Padma Subrahmanyan Conferred With The Padma Awards This Year!

The singer received the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award from the President, Droupadi Murmu on April 22nd, 2024 at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The esteemed award was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other dignitaries. Upon receiving the award, the singer expressed her gratitude saying, ““The award means the world to me because it is a sheer and absolute recognition from your country and from the government… When your government, country and your people appreciate what you have done and the hard work that you’ve put in for so many years, it makes for a wonderful moment of total humility and gratitude.”
