The movie is being directed by Prem,  who was earlier the cinematographer of Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom’. The shooting of the film is currently said to be happening in Puducherry and the areas surrounding it.

Other than Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan, the film also has veteran actor Janakaraj, ‘Aadukalam’ Murugadoss and Kaali Venkat who will be seen in pivotal roles.

Nandagopal of Madras Enterprises is producing ’96’ and Govind Menon of ‘100 Days of Love’ fame is composing the music.

According to reports, Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of a 96-year-old in the movie.
