Trisha who played Vikram’s wife in the film has been approached to join the project. The film is said to be the continuation of the original and it is vital to rope in Trisha. The actress however has not given her nod yet, but the makers are hopeful to have Trisha in the project. The director Hari says that the film sequel should have been made much earlier, but somehow did not fall in place. Now, he is keen on making the project bigger, in terms of scale and budget. It is said that the film will take off from where the original ended, a rarity in Kollywood. Meanwhile Hari is busy wrapping up his third film of the Singam franchise with Suriya.
Harris Jayaraj who scored music for Saamy which topped the charts in 2003 will be composing music for the sequel too.
