For the last 16 years, Trisha has been ruling Kollywood. She has acted in several films in other languages too. Her last film was the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer 96 in which she immortalized the role Janu. She is currently expecting the release of her next movie Petta, for Pongal. In Petta, she is paired opposite Rajinikanth for the first time. Trisha is also awaiting the release of Sathuranga Vettai 2 which has Arvind Swami in the lead role and Garjanai, a heroine-centric project.

Meanwhile, Trisha has signed up for her next movie with All In Pictures, which is bankrolling the movie Gorilla. In a post on Twitter, the production house said, “Even before our biggie #Gorilla is set to hit the screens, here comes our next announcement Adding more to the 16 years of her effervescent presence in the industry, we are truly honored to collaborate in 2 back to back projects with @trishtrashers More details soon #Trishasnext.”

Trisha also confirmed this news by acknowledging the tweet and replying, “Absolutely delighted to be on board. Wait for it.”

 

Petta, which is her first movie with Rajinikanth, is directed by Karthik Subburaj. The film has Vijay Sethupathi playing an important role. It may be recalled that it was Trisha’s dream to work with Rajinikanth in at least one movie. The star cast of this film includes Simran, Malavika Mohanan, Megha Akash, Bobby Simha, Sasi Kumar, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing important roles. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the tunes for this gangster actioner with Tirru cranking the camera and Vivek Harshan being in charge of the editing.

The rest of the technical crew include Peter Hein from stunt choreography, Suresh Selvarajan for production designing, Kunal Rajan as the sound designer, Niharika Khan and Praveen Raja as costume designers, and Baba Bhaskar and Sheriff for dance choreography.
