Trisha Deactivates Twitter Account Amidst Jalikattu Controversy!

Couldn’t stand the hate.

Actress Trisha who has been targeted by online haters for her opinion and support for animal welfare (PETA) had to deactivate her social media account today. The Kollywood star received threats online and on the sets of her latest movie for her opinion on banning Jalikattu.

However, in a series if tweets the actress denied any of the anti-Jalikattu statements and said she is shocked at the hate and venom thrown at her and her family.

She expressed shock over the comments made against her and questioned if ‘disrespecting a woman was Tamil culture’. Trisha was forced to deactivate her twitter account as the comments did not stop coming in. The year hasn’t started on a great note for the star. She also mentioned that she has complained to the authorities about alleged account hacking.

Kamal Hassan and Radhika Sarathkumar expressed their support to the star and appealed to their fans to not hurt her. Looks like the coming days will be tougher for the Kollywood star. Here’s hoping she successfully fights the trolls and comes back to social media where she interacts with her fans and followers.
