Trisha, one of the most popular and established actors from the South film industry completes 19 years as an actor today. The actor, who started her career as a supporting character in 1999 in Jodi, has acted in more than 60 films in these 19 years. The actor who celebrates 19 years as a leading actor in the industry today was first cast as lead in Mounam Pesiyadhe in 2002.

Celebrating her journey Trisha took to her social media to explain how her acting journey has been all these years. “A wise man once said,” Get a job you don’t need a vacation from” And so I did. And I’m still vacationing. For those who’ve been with me on this journey, I’m never letting you go and I am today because of you all. Beyond thankful for the best 19 years of my life,” the actor said sharing a photo of her 19 year celebration.

After starring in Tamil and Telugu movies for almost 10 years, she had her Bollywood debut in 2010 with Priyadarshan’s Khatta Meetha, where she acted alongside Akshay Kumar. Now, she has also entered the web series world, as she has signed her first web series titled ‘Brindha’ for Sony Liv. She has acted in a number of women-lead films including, Raangi, Paramapadham Vilaiyaatu, etc. She is known for her peformances in movies like Ghilli, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya and 96.

Trisha is currently working on a number of projects including Mani Ratnam’s magnam opus, Ponniyin Selvan. She is awaiting the release of Garjanai, Sathuranga Vettai 2 and Raangi and is also working on a Malayalam film Ram.
