Actor Trisha is currently awaiting the release of Ponniyin Selvan, where she is all set to be seen as the leading lady Kundavai, aka Illaiya Piratti. The character is the daughter of Sundara Chola, and the sister of Adithya Karikalan and Arun Mozhi Varman. She is playing a pivotal role in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming magnum opus. While she is also signing other projects, she may also be reuniting with Vijay for her next.

Vijay and Trisha are each other’s lucky pair, and they have already starred in 4 films so far. She was last seen with him in Kuruvi in 2008, before which they have done Ghilli, Thiruppachi and Aathi together. Vijay is currently working on his 66th film ‘Varisu’ directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The shooting of the movie is ongoing and is likely to hit floors by the year end or so.

Meanwhile, Vijay is most likely to commit his next with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The young director has already announced that his next is most definitely with Vijay, and it is most likely Thalapathy 67. On the work front, Trisha is filming for Jeethu Joseph’s Ram along with Mohanlal, in Malayalam. She is also doing The Road with Arun Vaseegaran, a debutante director. For Television, she has signed up for Brinda in Telugu for SonyLiv. Vijay on the other hand has only been working on Varisu, where he is co-starring with Rashmika Mandanna.
