Kollywood Town has been buzzing about as the cast and roles list for the Ponniyin Selvan movie was recently released on Social Media. The Tamil audience have been waiting eagerly for updates on this movie because of the grandeur of the story as well as the ensemble cast. Now, a list with actors and the respective roles they will be playing has been released.

Prakash Raj who is replacing Amitabh Bachchan will be playing Sundara Chozhar. Apart from this Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai and Aishwarya Lekshmi are playing Aditya Karikalan, Arulmozhi Varman, Vandhiyathevan, Kundavi, Nandhini/Mandakini and Poonguzhali respectively. The list also tells which actor pairs with which actress in corresspondence to their roles in the movie.

The movie, given its historical enormity, is going to be released as two parts. The shooting of the movie has already begun in Puducherry taking all precautions to stay away from the Pandemic. A few pics that were shared from the set went viral on social media. The shooting for the 2nd part of the movie is also to be completed soon. The first part will be hitting the big screens earlier in 2022. AR Rahman is scoring the music, and the film is produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies.
