Due to her absence on social media, reports suggested that the actress had a skin condition and that she has been postponing her Kushi shoot in order to take treatment for the same. New reports also suggested that the actress is most likely to travel abroad for the treatment because of the health scare. However, Samantha’s team has now let out a clarification that these are just ‘baseless’ rumours. The manager said the star’s fine and added that all such rumours are not true. Her manager, Mahendra, has now broken his silence on the matter. While addressing concerns about her health, he said that Sam is fine and termed these reports as “just gossip. He, however, did not comment on the purpose behind her US trip.
Samantha, after the release of Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, is awaiting the release of Shaakuntalam. The film, directed by Gunasekhar, is a Telugu mythological film based on Kalidasa’s Shaakuntalam. The film also stars Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla in titular roles. The film is planned to get bigger as it will be released in 3D. The makers shared that the new release date will be announced soon. The team will complete the 3D version of the film and will soon announce the new release date. The makers took to Twitter and released an official statement that read, “We aim to give a bigger experience with Shaakuntalam and immerse you in the World of Shaakuntalam, for which we as a team felt 3D would be a brilliant way. To facilitate this, we would be taking some time to put forth and so, will be unable to meet the earlier announced date of release. We thank the support and love showered upon us, from around the world, hoping for your support in this too! We will be announcing a new release date soon,” a source from the team revealed.
