It is often said that two women do not go well together especially two contemporaries in the same field. But that is just a farce created by the media and the society. Women in the film industry have never failed to stand up for each other against all the suppression in their respective fields. Today women are choosing better roles and demanding salaries equal to their male counterparts.

Although in the film industry, the salary gap is quite large, women are atleast getting better roles, they are demanding for better films with impactful characters. Two such women from the industry are Samantha Akkineni and Nayanthara who have garnered a large fanbase and are doing some great roles.

On the professional front, Samantha Akkineni has an untitled next with Ashwin Saravanan alongside actor prasanna. She also has Vignesh Shivan directed Kaathuvaakkula Rendu Kadhal alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.

Meanwhile, Nayanthara has Nizhal, a Malayalam film starring Kunchacko Boban, Annathae alongside Rajinikanth, Keerthy Suresh, Meena and Khushbu Sundar and Netri Kann produced by Vignesh Shivan.
