TRENDING: RJ Balaji Opens Up On Mookuthi Amman 2!

RJ Balaji is hopeful of it!

Mookuthi Amman has managed to entertain the audience with timely humour and a rather different narrative and take on religion without not targeting any particular religion in general. Nayanthara as Mookuthi Amman gave a new perspective to the 1990’s Amman stories we enjoyed as kids. Today the storyline has been treated differently through humour that caters to every audience.

As RJ Balaji enjoys the success of the film, the next question fans have imposed on him is a possibility of a sequel. During a recent interaction, the director of the film said, “These days, we get sequels even for films that didn’t run well. Yes, we are planning for the second part but don’t ask me whether I have plans for 25th and 26th parts of the film. When we made LKG, several people asked me whether the next part is UKG. Similarly, we are not going to immediately make the sequel for Mookuthi Amman. The sequel will go on floors when I get the confidence that a new idea would exceed the expectations of the first part.”

Usually very rarely sequels have an impactful effect on the audience. It is always good to figure out whether or not a sequel would work for the film and if the storyline of the sequel makes sense or not.

Let us hope for a sensible sequence for the actor/director.

On the professional front, Nayanthara was last seen in the film Mookuthi Amman alongside RJ Balaji. She now has a Malayalam film Nizhal alongside Kunchacko Boban, Annathae alongside Superstar Rajinikanth and Keerthy Suresh, Netri Kann produced by Vignesh Shivan and Kaathuvakkula Rendu Kadhal starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni, directed by Vignesh Shivan.
