TRENDING: Nayanthara’s Debut Film Was Supposed To Be This Popular Film With Actor Simbu!

We wonder how that would have worked for Nayan!

Nayanthara is one of the biggest stars in the South Indian film industry today. She is doing films in all languages and has a massive fan-following. It all started when Nayanthara made her debut with the film Ayya also starring Sarathkumar and eventually did her second film with the superstar himself titled Chandramukhi which was a blockbuster hit. Ever since, Nayanthara has been unstoppable and has explored all the languages.

But, looks like it there was a different debut path waiting for the actress. In a recent interview with a popular entertainment portal, ace producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu revealed that Nayanthara was supposed to make her debut opposite to actor Simbu who she even dated down the line.

He stated that when they were assembling the cast for Thotti Jaya he came across Nayanthara’s picture (Diana Mariam Kurian) on a magazine and tracked her down to be part of the film. Apparently, though he was keen to cast Nayanthara in the film, director VZ Durai and cameraman RD Rajasekar had given a word to actress Gopika while in the Malayalam film Four The People.

The film has actress Gopika playing the female lead opposite Silambarasan aka Simbu. Until now, it was believed that director VZ Durai’s first choice for the female lead was Nayanthara, but she couldn’t be part of the film as she turned busy in Tamil after her debut Ayya. Dhanu concludes saying that he regrets not launching Nayanthara.

On the professional front, Nayanthara has Rajinikanth starrer Annathae directed by Siva, Kaathuvaakkula Rendu Kadhal alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha, Nizhal alongside Malayalam actor Kunchackoo Boban and Netri Kann produced by her beau Vignesh Shivan.
