Reports have been pouring in saying that Lady Superstar Nayanthara is all set to play the role of Manju Warrier in the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer. However, on the contrary, Mohan Raja who is directing the remake, has made significant changes to the script to include a flashback where Chiranjeevi will have a romantic story. This bit will have Nayanthara playing the love interest of Chiranjeevi. While, the movie is only a political-thriller, the director has added a romance angle to it to satisfy both Telugu audiences and the Megastar’s fans.

The script has been re-worked to make Nayanthara’s role in a the movie a bit more significant. Nayanthara will be acting along side Chiranjeevi for the second time now. She was also his love interest in Sye Ra Narasimha Reddy which also had Tamannah Bhatia playing another lead role.

The shooting for this movie is set to commence in the month of August after the shooting or Chiranjeevi’s Acharya shooting is wrapped-up. Initially, apparently directors like Sujeeth and V V Vinayak made changes to the script that Chiranjeevi was not very happy about. He therefore, roped in Tamil director Mohan Raja to make the film a mass-centric one filled with equal amounts of love, thrill and emotion.

Nayanthara was last seen on Nizhal in Malayalam and Mookuthi Amman in Tamil. She is now filming for three films, Netrikann, Annatthhe, and Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
