TRENDING: Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi star in a Music Video! Watch Now!

Thai Engal Tamizh Naadey

AR Rahman’s daughter Khatija Rahman took to her Instagram story yesterday to share news about a Music Video made in tribute to Tamil Nadu. The music video is titled ‘Thai Engal Tamizh Naadey’. In the poster that she has shared, there was a photo of Nayanthara in a traditional saree. There were also photos of the famous Thiruvalluvar Statue in Kanyakumari, and many other such sights from the state.

On checking out the video on Youtube, we know that the song is directed by SRS Shabharesh and that the music is composed by Santosh Narayanan. The Director had apparently waiter for 10 years to completely film this song covering all 38 districts in Tamil Nadu at their best seasons. The video also revealed that there is no CGI involved in the making and that almost 1000 members were a part of the crew.

Vijay Sethupathi has given the voice in the video, and has said in Tamil, “The land of five types of terrain. The land that embraced four supreme values of life! The land of three forms of Tamizh language. The land of Thiruvalluvar; the man who described the world in two lines. The land which brings all these wonders into one. It is our Motherland Thamizh Nadu!” This voiceover is accompanied by scenic and picturesque photos and shots of our very own Tamil Nadu.

Nayanthara is seen a traditional Tamil girl praying at a village temple. While the lyrics have been penned by Muthamil, the song has been sung by Sean Roldan. Selva RK is the editor and Vijay Karthik Kannan is the Director of Photography. Watch Video Here:

Nayanthara, who was last seen in O2, is awaiting the release of ‘Gold’ along with Prithiviraj Sukumaran in Malayalam. Meanwhile, she is filming for a number of films including, ‘Iraivan’, ‘Connect’ and ‘Godfather’.
