In a shocking turn of events, four crew members of the Annathae team were tested positive for COVID after which the entire shoot had been called off. In fact, all the actors have been safely sent back home as well. Vignesh Shivan, who had been shooting for his first schedule in Hyderabad, had also returned with Nayanthara to Chennai.

After this, Rajinikanth who had decided to enter politics quit that as well and will henceforth only be concentrating on his upcoming films. The actor is on a road to recovery and has gained back his health.

It has now been reported that Nayanthara and Rajinikanth have begun shooting their portion in the film. It is believed that the duo are shooting here in Chennai at the Gokulam Studios.

According to reports, the duo will shoot for few days in the studio. However, there has been no official confirmation from the production house. In the past, Annaatthe shoot was delayed due to lockdown and due to Rajinikanth’s health issues and the risk involved in shooting during the pandemic.

The film is directed by Siva. The film has Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Khushbu, Prakash Raj, Sathish playing important roles. Imman has scored and composed music for the film.

It was reported that Rajinikanth was working 12 hours a day until the unfortunate news came to light. The Kabali  actor has however tested negative for COVID and was immediately sent back to Chennai. The shooting has been stalled and the team is unsure as to when the shoot would resume.
