Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s debut film, Ye Maaya Chesave, completed 13 years of release on February 26. With this, the actress completed 13 years in cinema and today, she is one of the most sought-after actresses in India. This love story is etched in the history of the Telugu film industry for the striking chemistry between Samantha and Naga Chaitanya that set the screens on fire. Naga Chaitanya reminisces the same by sharing a BTS picture and a movie poster starring Samantha.

 

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s friendship blossomed on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave. Years later, they fell in love and got married in 2017. However, the two parted ways in October 2021 due to irreconcilable differences.

Samantha took to her Instagram page to share a photo of flowers and said hat she feels gratitude. She wrote, “The older I get… the farther I go..I just feel deeply thankful for all the love and affection…and for each new day and all the good things it brings. So many things that used to affect me… don’t anymore. Just a wave of love and gratitude everyday. Thank you (sic).”

Samantha will next grace the silver screens with the much-awaited mythological drama, Shaakuntalam. Written and directed by Gunasekhar, the movie will hit the cinema halls on 14th April 2023. The project was initially slated to release in 2022, but the venture has been pushed multiple times. Based on the popular play by Kalidas, Shaakuntalam revolves around the epic love story of Shakuntala, played by Samantha, and King Dushyant, portrayed by Dev Mohan.
