Thalapathy Vijay’s Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film also starring Malavika Mohanan, Gauri Kishan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj among others has Anirudh composing the music of the film. Some of the tracks from the album are already a huge hit and once the theatres open up, team Master will soon begin its promotions and eventually release the film.

For the last two days, #masteronprime has been trending where a section of the internet confirmed the news after Prime put out a list of its August released in which the Tamil film’s name was there. This created a buzz that the film was releasing on Amazon Prime who already have the streaming Rights of the film after its theatrical release.

The air has now been cleared that the Korean film The Master will have an August film and due to similar names, the confusion became stronger. Actor Vijay had already confirmed through his producer Xavier Britto that he wants his fans to experience the film in the theatre. So Master Will stay put for a proper theatre release.

The last Tamil film to have released on Prime was Keerthy Suresh’s Penguin before which Ponmagal Vandhal starring Jyothika, released. It was the first OTT release for a Tamil film on Prime after theatres shut.
