Lokesh Kanagaraj has become the director of the year, and the most spoken of director after the release Kamal Haasan’s Vikram. He is one of the first directors in Kollywood to introduce a Multi-verse, and this was titled as Lokiverse. After almost 2 months, the film is still running in select theatres, and is also receiving good viewership on OTT. The film is the most successful film of Kollywood for this year, so far.

Meanwhile, Lokesh has now taken to Instagram to announce that he will be taking a break from the social media platform. This comes at a time where there is a speculation that the director’s next film is most likely with Vijay, titled Thalapathy 67. Taking to his Twitter, the director said, “Hey guys ✨ I’m taking a small break from all social media platforms… I’ll be back soon with my next film’s announcement 🔥 Till then do take care all of you.. With love Lokesh Kanagaraj 🤜🏼🤛🏼” (sic)

Lokesh has meanwhile done 4 films so far, including, Maanagaram, Kaithi, Master and Vikram. The worlds of Kaithi and Vikram are already connected. It is being said that Vijay will also have a role to play in the multi-verse of Lokesh Kanagaraj. So far, we only know that Vijay’s Thalapathy 67 is an intense action thriller. He said that it was an old script that he is working on, and that he is rewriting it to suit the current times more. He is also most likely to work with the same technical crew as usual.
