The film has a huge star cast and Nayanthara is said to play a cameo in it. It was earlier confirmed that Keerthy Suresh and Nayanthara will not be sharing screenspace in the film. However, the latest buzz is that Keerthy Suresh will play the role of Nayanthara’s daughter in the film. It is also being speculated that actresses Khushbu and Meena will be seen competing to marry their cousin Rajini from younger times. The story continues that Rajini then gets married to Nayanthara and the couple have a daughter who grows up to become Keerthy Suresh. if this turns out to be the case then Keerthy plays Nayan’s daughter and the big question is whether she will don old getup or her character will be killed off in the younger days itself.
It was earlier reported that Nayan and Keerthy will be seen doing Aramm 2 together. However, there is no confirmation on the same. Whereas, few other reports suggest that Keerthy Suresh and Nayanthara may not be in the film but in fact, the Mahanati actress has replaced Nayanthara in the film to play the lead.
Gopi Nainar is currently filming for Karuppar Nagaramwhich has Jai, Aishwarya Rajesh and Mahima Nambiar as the lead actors. Since the film has an ensemble of critically acclaimed actors, it is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
On the professional front, Keerthy has a Malayalam film by Priyadharshan titled Marakkar: Arabikkadalante Simham starring Mohanlal and Manju Warrier, she has Miss India, Rang De starring Nithiin and an untitled sports-drama in Telugu. Meanwhile Nayanthara has Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni, Mookuthi Amman starring RJ Balaji and Netri Kann produced by Vignesh Shivan.
