Keerthy Suresh’s Penguin was the second Tamil film  to reach the OTT platform right after Jyothika’s Ponmagal Vandhal. Keerthy’s performance in the film has been critically acclaimed and while she has several other projects, the one she is looking forward to the most would be Rajinikanth’s Annathae which is being directed by Siruthai Siva also starring Khushbu Sundar and Meena Sagar in the lead.

The film has a huge star cast and Nayanthara is said to play a cameo in it. Although, these two leading ladies may not share screenspace in this film, looks like it there is an opportunity for them to share screenspace in a woman-centric film.

Rumours are rife that director Gopi Nainar who had a success with the debut film Aramm starring Nayanthara in the lead. It is reported that Aramm 2 will have both Nayanthara and Keerthy in the film. Whereas, few other reports suggest that Keerthy Suresh and Nayanthara may not be in the film but in fact, the Mahanati actress has replaced Nayanthara in the film to play the lead.

However, according to Galatta Media, Keerthy Suresh has not replaced Nayanthara for the lead role, and the makers will come up with the cast and crew once everything falls in the right place.

Gopi Nainar is currently filming for Karuppar Nagaram which has Jai, Aishwarya Rajesh and Mahima Nambiar as the lead actors. Since the film has an ensemble of critically acclaimed actors, it is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

On the professional front, Keerthy has a Malayalam film by Priyadharshan titled Marakkar: Arabikkadalante Simham starring Mohanlal and Manju Warrier, she has Miss India, Rang De starring Nithiin and an untitled sports-drama in Telugu. Meanwhile Nayanthara has Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni, Mookuthi Amman starring RJ Balaji and Netri Kann produced by Vignesh Shivan.
