TRENDING: Here’s How Much Trisha Charges For A Film Now!

Details below!

After the release of Magnum Opus, Mani Ratnam and the entire cast and crew have been breathing the air of the success of the film. Trisha was a treat to watch onscreen as she portrayed the role of Kundavai from the book. It is worth mentioning that Trisha has undertaken horse riding training for her role, and the actress had also read five volumes of the ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ novel before she started shooting for the film. She also addressed her co-stars as the best part of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ as the film would have been a tough one for the actress without them. The film has reportedly grossed more than Rs 500 crore at the box office and is still running in theatres 30 days after its release. The film recently made its digital premiere on OTT but access is limited and on November 4, the film will be available for digital subscribers to watch.

If reports are to be believed, Trisha has now apparently doubled the remuneration she charges generally for a movie. Previously she was apparently charging 1.5 Crores for a project. Now, after the success of Ponniyin Selvan, she is speculatively charging 3 crores. However, these are just speculations. We have no official information about this.

Trisha rose to fame with movies like Lesa Lesa, Saamy and Enakku 20 Unakku 18. Eventually, with movies like Ghilli and Aayutha Ezhuthu, Trisha started creating a niche for herself, not only in Kollywood but also in Tollywood. Now, Trisha is the only actress in Kollywood who has sustained for 20 whole years, without taking a break or quitting the industry. On the work front, Trisha is filming for Jeethu Joseph’s Ram along with Mohanlal, in Malayalam. She is also doing The Road with Arun Vaseegaran, a debutante director. Trisha plays a housewife, but she is a former journalist in the film. For Television, she has signed up for Brinda in Telugu for SonyLiv. Simbu, on the other hand, is filming for Pathu Thala costarring Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar. He was last seen in GVM’s Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.
