Atlee’s Bigil starring Vijay introduced a lot of fresh talents. The Kollywood industry came to know of actresses like Reba Monica John, Amritha Aiyer, Varsha Bollamma and Indraja Shankar only through this film. Amritha Aiyer has been in the industry since 2012. She has done a number of uncredited roles, including the role of Samantha’s friend in Theri. Before Bigil, she did Kaali and Padaiveeran, but her claim to fame was Bigil.

Photos of the actresses’ wedding have surfaced on Instagram, and it has created quite a stir. Rumours are strife that the actress tied the knot with her longtime lover in a private ceremony. However, all of these are just rumours. The actress herself took to Instagram to share, “No no it’s not my marriage pictures!! 😄Throwback #vanakamdamapla 🎥” Vanakkam Da Mappillei is a film that released on Sun Nxt and she starred as the lead in the film. Now we all know that the actress is not married yet.

After her stint in Tamil, Amritha has also acted in a number of Telugu films. She did Red with Ram Pothineni, immediately after Bigil. She also did 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela where she performed in a dual role. She was cast as the lead co-starring Kavin in Lift, which released on Disney+ Hotstar. She then did a Telugu film called Arjuna Phalguna in Telugu.

In her pipeline, she now has Sundar C’s Coffee with Kaadhal co-starring, Jiiva, Jai, Shrikanth, Aishwarya Dutta, Divyadarshini and few others. She is also working on Hanu Man co-starring Teja Sajja. At the same time, she has signed an upcoming bilingual film directed by Teejay Arunasalam. Lastly, she has also signed a Kannada film, Gramayana, which is currently delayed.
