Now, the actress who has been doing films in the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam industries has let out a bold statement regarding why she stopped working on Telugu films. Amala Paul said that she couldn’t do many Telugu films because of the characters that came her way. She said, “When I went to the Telugu industry, I realised that there was the family concept. There, the industry is very much dominated by these families and their fans. And the kind of films that they were making at that point was very different. There would always be two actresses and we’d be there for the love scenes, songs and everything was very glamorous. They were very commercial films and I couldn’t connect much with that industry at that point in time, so I did very few films there.” Amala Paul started her Telugu film career with Bejawada co-starring Naga Chaitanya in 2011. She then did Janda Pai Kapiraju along with Nani in 2015. Apart from these, she only did Pittha Kathalu recently in 2021.
Amala Paul was last seen in the Tamil film Cadaver, which she also Produced. She is now awaiting the release of Adho Andha Paravai Pola, which is delayed. She is working on the films Teacher, Cristopher and Aadujeevitham, all of which are in Malayalam. She was recently in the news because of her ex-boyfriend Bhavinder Singh, who alleged that the two got married when they were in a relationship. However, Amala Paul has denied those allegations.
