One of Laila’s finest performances would definitely have to be Pithamagan. Directed by Bala, the film also stars Vikram, Suriya and Sangeetha Krish in the lead as well. Laila’s character arc is beautiful – from a beautiful, bubbly girl to a rebel with a cause, Laila’s performance put her on top of her game back then. Pithamagan was also a very unforgettable performance for Suriya and the actor has talked about it during several occasions.

The film has been repeatedly telecasted several times and fans share screenshots of the same too. During one such recent telecast, Laila talked about an interesting shoot experience she shared with Suriya on the sete of Pithamagan. Suriya and Laila have also given blockbuster films like Nanda, Unnai Ninaithu and Mounam Pesiyadhe where Laila makes a cameo appearance. In Pithamagan, Suriya plays a conman in the film and his scenes with Laila are a huge hit.

After a long break of recovering from his COVID, Suriya has resumed shooting for his next with director Pandiraj. In fact, a pre first-look of the film has been going viral.
